Updated Job Posting: Business Incubator 19 Project Team Members
Business Incubator 19--an organization dedicated to developing local small businesses centered around products/services that serve our community and world--seeks members for startup teams. Because of the early stage of development for the Incubator 19's startups, team members will play a central role in developing, growing, and pitching the business and product/service. These are ground-floor opportunities, ideal for creative, ambitious, action-oriented, socially-minded individuals who demonstrate the excellent communication and collaboration skills required for fast-paced, rewarding team-based work. Although teams' small size will demand considerable cross-functionality from members, we invite applicants to showcase their ability to contribute to one or more of the specific duties each team will be responsible for:
Research: Conduct primary and secondary research to thoroughly investigate the market for team's product/service (via both Web and business databases, with emphasis on data), rigorously analyze competitors and identify a market niche, precisely determine user/customer needs (via empirical data), validly test product/service with users/customers, etc.
Writing: As a solo writer, write clear, concise, engaging prose in multiple genres whose content and form is tailored to the audience, purpose, and context of each rhetorical situtation. As the team's lead writer, provide timely, thorough, revision-oriented feedback to team members; manage coherence of team's communication across multiple documents.
Design: Design print and digital documents for different audience and distribution platforms/delivery mechanisms that are appealing, accessible, and reflective of team's product/service and ethos/culture. Create compelling, "sticky" multimedia assets (videos, infographics, etc) for use in web presence and/or presentations.
